Looking for the Best Teams and Protagonist Models for the Tales of the Fantastic event in Honkai: Star Rail? Tales of the Fantastic is a gameplay event in HoYoverse's turnbased RPG which is unlocked after completing the Trailblaze Mission named A Dragon Gallant, Its Ocean Distant. It includes three story missions, which in turn unlock six gameplay challenges. On this page, as part of our Honkai: Star Rail guide, we're going to reveal the Best Teams and Protagonist Models for the Tales of the Fantastic event.

Tales of the Fantastic is a gameplay event in Honkai: Star Rail which unlocks after completing the Trailblaze Mission named A Dragon Gallant, Its Ocean Distant. It consists of three story missions, named Hero's Journeys, and six gameplay challenges, named Legends Past and Present. You'll need to complete all three Hero's Journeys to unlock all six Legends Past and Present scenes, as well Protagonist Models which provide you with plot armour during the combat gauntlets.

For each scene in Legends Past and Present, you'll need to select a team of four characters and a Protagonist Model. You'll then have a designated number of turns to defeat as many enemies as possible, thus attaining a higher score. In order to earn all the rewards, you'll need to earn at least 50,000 Points, or 60,000 Points in Scene 6: Triumphant Return.

In each scene you'll have two Trial characters to choose from, and we'd recommend you use them unless you have the same characters at a higher level with good Relics attached. While we've included our recommendations for the Best Teams below, please do note that we're assuming you have any non-Trial characters levelled to at least 70, and have good Relics and Light Cones attached. You'll also want to ensure you've unlocked a good number of Traces for each character, too. While the teams on this page will earn you enough points to unlock all the rewards, they won't if you're being poor quality builds into battle.
